What services do you offer?

Stewart Educational Consulting provides personalized admissions guidance for students in grades 6-12. Depending on the student’s grade level and needs, support may include academic and extracurricular planning, course selection, summer strategy, leadership and project development, college-list development, application strategy, personal statements and supplemental essays, interview preparation, and guidance through final admissions decisions. Focused consulting engagements may also be available.
Do you work virtually?

Yes. Jacob works with students throughout the United States through Zoom, email, and shared planning tools.
What makes you different?

Every family works directly with Jacob Stewart, not a junior counselor or rotating team of advisors. Drawing on nearly a decade of admissions consulting experience, Jacob combines sophisticated strategy with a deeply personal understanding of each student. He maintains a limited client roster so families receive responsive communication, thoughtful recommendations, and consistent senior-level guidance throughout the engagement.
Do you work directly with both students and parents?

Yes. The student is at the center of the process, with structured parent communication built into comprehensive programs.
Can families receive only essay or hourly support?

Limited focused engagements may be available depending on timing and capacity.
When is the best time to begin?

Families may begin working with Jacob as early as sixth grade. Earlier engagements focus on academic planning, extracurricular exploration, summer opportunities, goal setting, and intentional long-term development. Families may also begin during junior or senior year for more concentrated admissions and application support.
Why work with an independent consultant if our school has a college counselor?

Independent consulting complements the important work of a student’s school counselor. Jacob provides additional time, individualized strategy, accountability, and continuity while encouraging students to build a strong relationship with their school-based counselor.
How often will Jacob meet with my student?

Meeting frequency depends on the student’s program, grade level, and current priorities. Comprehensive engagements include an established meeting cadence, written action items, and ongoing communication between meetings.
How are programs and fees determined?

Program recommendations and fees are discussed following the complimentary consultation. Recommendations are based on the student’s grade level, goals, timeline, application plans, and desired scope of support.
Do you work with students outside the St. Louis area?

Yes. Jacob is based in Chesterfield, Missouri, and works virtually with students and families throughout the United States.
